About the role
McIlwain is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager with strong experience with Contracts and working with Subbies, Suppliers & Clients to work on an exciting project in the Scenic Rim. Lead the onsite commercial team in tasks directed by the Project Manager to ensure successful completion of the project.
Duties
- Provide support to the Project Manager in commercial and technical engineering related matters of the project for both head and sub-contracts.
- Provide functional management for the Contracts Administration team and facilitate continuous improvement within the team.
- Use leadership skills to resolve contractual issues (interfacing with legal where required).
- Lead tender negotiations and assist in contract awards.
- Assist in negotiation of commercial disputes including recovery of variation entitlements.
Skills & experience
- 5+ years of experience in Commercial Management of similar
- Degree in Business Management or Law preferred
- Experience in Civil Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in contracts, procurement, reporting and cost control
