Due to organic growth within the business, they’re looking for a dynamic and commercially minded Commercial Manager to join their team. As Commercial Manager – Out of Home (OOH) you’ll provide ongoing financial support and strategic guidance to their OOH Sales team. Your focus will be on trade spend management, sales analysis, and partnership with various teams to drive strategic planning and decision-making processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide ongoing business partnering and financial support to the OOH Sales team, focusing on trade spend management and sales analysis.
- Partner with Category and Marketing Teams, specifically around New Product Development (NPD).
- Act as a Co-Pilot, driving decision-making and supporting strategic planning through proactive support.
- Ensure timely response to key stakeholder queries and develop relationships across the business.
- Influence business decisions, including NPD initiatives, through valuable financial analysis and advice.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the OOH business model and NPD process.
- Attend and participate in OOH Field & C&S Team WIPs.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and month-end activities for OOH Sales.
- Ensure financial control and integrity through regular system checks and month-end activities.
- Undertake analysis on profitability by customer and product group within the OOH channel.
- Monitor trade spend, investigate variances, and optimize spend through intel provided to the Sales team.
- Support CAPEX budgeting/forecasts and freezer management for OOH Sales.
- Drive continuous process improvement and support ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, commerce, business, or equivalent is essential.
- CA/CPA qualification is required.
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience, including within an FMCG company, with a focus on supporting Commercial teams.
- Proven experience working and interacting with stakeholders across the business, with the ability to challenge and influence effectively.
- Desired understanding of trade spend management and optimization, including proficiency with TPM applications.
- Experience working with large data sets and system flows, with strong data mining abilities.
- Exposure to the NPD process, including preparation of P&Ls, would be advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in driving profitable and commercial outcomes, including knowledge of brand/product/channel/customer mix.
- Essential willingness to roll up sleeves, initiate process improvements, own and resolve problems, and lead projects effectively.
- Salary circa $140k-$150k plus super plus bonus
