Commercial Manager - Part Time
Location: Bundoora, VIC
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. The Commercial Manager will work in a team of 2 and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and profitability of our company by managing customer contracts, supplier agreements, and the tender process. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and strategic thinking abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly review all customer contracts and major supplier agreements to understand and mitigate risks.
- Amend contracts as necessary to protect the company's interests.
- Ensure all tender, Request for Quotation (RFQ), and Expression of Interest (EOI) submissions are of the highest quality, approved, and submitted on time.
- Provide strategic advice and input regarding the worth of tenders.
- Maintain a tender register to track all tender submissions and outcomes.
- Establish and maintain a robust and efficient pricing process/model.
- Assist in creating specific customer rate cards within agreed time frames.
- Assist in contract price negotiation and resolution.
- Support Business Development and Sales Managers in their efforts to secure and retain business.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar commercial management role
- Strong understanding of contract management and negotiation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Experience interpreting EBA Agreements and Modern Awards
