Dynamic infrastructure organisation is seeking a Communications Advisor to join their collaborative internal communications team.

This critical role will be required to develop and deliver communications plans and messaging for an internal audience through various communications channels including the intranet, all-employee updates, events, digital screens, videos and other channels. The role is responsible for the development of high quality communication and engagement plans, collateral and tools, and will be required to manage a rolling calendar of engagement opportunities for Queensland employees and to contribute to the enterprise communications calendar.
You will be responsible for:
- Internal communications - deliver internal communications plans to drive improved employee engagement as well as contribute to enterprise communications activity
- Identify and create engaging content in line with the agreed plans, that showcases business activities and initiatives, and drives clear calls to action for employees utilising internal channels including the corporate intranet, events, digital screens, videos etc
- Develop content for executive updates to employees
- Strive towards establishing and maintaining best practice communication campaigns and channels for internal communications
- Support the delivery of internal change management plans including engaging with relevant stakeholders and developing communications plans and materials
- Measure and analyse internal communications results to inform and improve current and future communication plans, strategies and tactics to enhance value and efficiency
- Support the development of action plans in support of the annual engagement survey response
- Event management - develop and execute a calendar of internal engagement events, including the effective communication of the Business Plan and its objectives
- Oversee planning and event logistics for key internal stakeholder events such as Qld all-employee updates and quarterly updates
- Stakeholder engagement - work with Queensland Public Affairs Team to source engagement opportunities for the Queensland Business to promote corporate position and key messages
- Assist with the development and implementation of People & Culture campaigns and messaging for Queensland
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across the Queensland business, identifying content opportunities, celebrating success and showcasing initiatives/activities
- Tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Communications or Public Relations
- Minimum five years’ experience in corporate communications, stakeholder or public relations
- Proven internal communications experience
- Demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of corporate events and logistics in a hybrid Teams environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to translate complex language into plain English.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines and in a high-pressure, dynamic corporate environment
- Demonstrated ability to implement communications plans to support project objectives, using a broad range of channels with a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality written material for a range of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of organisational and administrative skills
- Experience with Microsoft products, with a focus on SharePoint
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment
- Strong planning and organisational ability
- Experience in video production and graphic design e.g. Shootsta, Premier Pro, Canva
- Technical expertise in managing a Sharepoint Intranet
- Flexibility and the opportunity to work from home – they offer a genuinely flexible hybrid working arrangement. Requirement to be in the Brisbane CBD office 3 days per week is critical, as is occasional as required to the Northern Suburbs
