This is a hybrid role, based in North Sydney with work from home options. As the Communications Coordinator, you will report to the Media Manager and play a pivotal role in contributing to our organisation's communication strategy. Your responsibilities will include managing our social media presence, crafting engaging content, and serving as the point of contact for our dynamic communications team.

Key responsibilities of the role
- Social Media Management:
- Develop and implement best-practice social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across various platforms to align with organisational goals.
- Monitor social media analytics to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Content Creation:
- Write and edit captivating content for various communication channels, ensuring consistency and alignment with our brand voice.
- Collaborate with team members to generate compelling narratives that resonate with our target audience.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate fresh ideas into our communication efforts.
- Team Coordination:
- Act as the central point of contact for the communications team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Provide advice and support to team members, promoting a positive and productive team dynamic.
- Media Relations:
- Support the Media Manager to develop and execute effective media outreach strategies.
- Monitor media and report on positive and negative sentiment as it happens, including compilation and delivery of regular reports.
- Face of the Communications Team:
- Oversee email communications and foster relationships with internal and external partners to boost organisational visibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- A passion for learning and skill development.
