Arafmi is seeking someone who can use their communication skills and flair to support the work we do for mental health carers, staff, clients and volunteers. If you are a communications aficionado who also has a keen interest in digital content and marketing with an understanding of the not for profit sector then this is the role for you.
About Us
Arafmi Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation providing support for families, carers and people with mental health needs or psychosocial disability, for more than 40 years.
The Arafmi Marketing Team is based in our head office and is a team of two that produces high quality content for the entire organisation.
About You
Working closely with the Marketing & Communications Coordinator and the wider team you will assist in the development, implementation and management of the marketing plan.
We want a creative thinking individual who enjoys creating high-impact communications strategies.
No two days will be the same!
Your duties will include:
- Developing communication plans and activities for Arafmi’s range of services
- Facilitate the compilation of stories and content for internal and external communication channels, including newsletters and digital platforms.
- Helping to implement the organisational marketing strategy.
- Working closely with the staff to understand how best to promote the organisation to the community.
The marketing team is small, but we produce a high volume of work, which means you will help oversee all internal and external marketing activities including events. As such, the role will include the very occasional outside of hours commitment, to allow for set-up and pack-up at carer events.
We need you to have:
- Tertiary level qualification in Communication and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role in a small/medium organisation.
- Demonstrated experience within creating content for digital print and media.
- A strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Campaign Monitor (or similar).
- Demonstrated knowledge of marketing/communication principles and new technologies, and an understanding of digital marketing strategies, in particular social media.
- Demonstrated ability of great time management skills whilst working under pressure with competing deadlines and various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, together with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in producing, developing and publishing digital content for online distribution across multiple platforms – social, email, SMS marketing.
- A strong work ethic and possesses a dedication to achieving desired results.
