About the role
As a valued member of the Hutt St Centre Advocacy team, the Communications Specialist plays a key part in achieving our fundraising, communications, and brand objectives. We are seeking a dynamic communicator and passionate storyteller to curate inspiring content, connecting supporters with our organisation and highlighting the impact of their support. An ability to genuinely connect with the community is critical to success in the role.
The Communications Specialist will craft compelling content for diverse stakeholders across multiple channels, ensuring high-quality written communications. Working with frontline teams, your focus will be on sourcing impactful content that highlights Hutt St Centre's community impact.
Working closely with the CEO's office, the Communications Specialist is responsible for delivering integrated communications strategies that contribute to the ongoing development of our brand voice and identity.
What we look for in a candidate?
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or a related discipline, or an equivalent, demonstrated experience is essential.
- A dynamic and accomplished communicator with exceptional research, writing and editing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to write effectively for different audiences.
- Energetic, with a strong sense of initiative and a results-focused attitude.
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to build constructive relationships.
- Strong written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work to deadlines under pressure, perform within a team, and show initiative.
Police and working with children checks are essential, as is a current driver’s licence.
