Salary: Level B – $119,231 – $141,581 p.a. plus 17% super

About the Role

Assess current Special Interest Groups and event effectiveness in engaging healthcare professionals in digital health research. Collaborating with the Program Manager and Events Officer, you'll trial event strategies to optimize engagement for planned 2024 events, informing future designs. Leveraging existing frameworks and evaluations, you'll develop a Learning Communities program for 2025, designing monitoring plans to ensure sustained engagement and maintaining stakeholder data to enable comprehensive expertise inclusion. Please note that funding for this position is scheduled to conclude in December 2024, pending a review for potential extension until 2030.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor and evaluate the existing Special Interest Groups for their efficacy in engaging healthcare professionals in digital health research and innovation.
  • Use learnings from existing frameworks, toolkits and experience related to research development and Learning Communities.
  • Design a monitoring and evaluation plan for Learning Communities that informs their ongoing development with the goal of sustained engagement.

Who We Are Looking For

The successful candidate should possess high-level engagement and facilitation skills, with a proven track record in building successful communities or Communities of Practice. They must have demonstrated experience in engaging clinicians and researchers collaboratively, exceptional communication skills, and an understanding of Learning Health Systems. Additionally, experience in designing events, developing systems for stakeholder engagement, and expertise in data-driven or digital health research would be desirable.

You will also have:

  • A PhD and at least 3 years’ relevant experience in a clinical or research environment
  • High-level skills in engagement and facilitation
  • A track record in building successful communities or Communities of Practice
  • Demonstrated understanding of Learning Health Systems and research development and translation

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
