About the role

We have a Full-Time Vacancy for a Client Services Coordinator to join our Home Care Team. This role ensures the effective management and coordination of Huon Regional Care's Home Care Staff in providing high quality care to our community clients. This position is directly responsible to their immediate supervisor for all aspects of service delivery under their control.

The role accountabilities for this position are as follows:

  • Oversee the day-to-day functions of the roster regarding all home Care Clients; ensuring shifts are filled in a timely manner whilst ensuring minimum disruption to daily operations, and ensuring maximum cost effectiveness to the organisation
  • Match Home-Care staff to clients based on personality, skills, client's scheduling issues and staff availability.
  • Accurately roster clients with carers based on location, time, skills, needs and requests.
  • Effectively and accurately communicate with home care staff, case managers, clients and office staff.
  • Effectively utilise our rostering and client database system Sandwai.
  • Reconcile daily roster.
  • Ensure employees contracted hours and obligations of work are met.
  • Populate and update Roster templates in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all industrial relation obligations are adhered to.
  • Coordinate the rostering of new employees to ensure that they undertake buddy shifts in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Build, generate and run reports as required.
  • Respond to and appropriately manage employee queries in regard to their roster.
  • Liaising with relevant external stakeholders.

Skills and experience

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a rostering/scheduling role.
  • A genuine passion and advocacy for positive ageing and working with senior Australians
  • A current Working With Vulnerable People Check
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive team-based attitude with a genuine interest in the support and care of the elderly
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
