Sundale Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our in Home Care team as a Community Carer. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As a Community Carer, your primary responsibility will be to provide essential support and care to individuals within the community. Your main tasks will include:
- Assisting clients with everyday tasks, such as personal grooming, meal preparation, and household chores
- Providing emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a sense of security and wellbeing
- Transporting clients to appointments or social outings, promoting engagement within the community
- Documenting client progress and reporting any concerns or developments to the appropriate channels
- Adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols to ensure the welfare of both clients and yourself
The ideal candidate for this role will possess exceptional communication skills, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in need. Previous experience in a similar caregiving capacity would be advantageous but not essential. Qualifications
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Home & Community or Individual Support.
For this position, you will be required to be physically fit, hold an open Queensland Driver's licence and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes, ensuring that your vehicle has comprehensive and current third-party compulsory insurance.
Essential requirements
A National Police Check and Pre-employment medical assessment are required in this position and require flexibility to attend shifts with minimal notice and have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
Availability
- Must be flexible and available to work shifts across 7 days, including weekends.
