1 Role - Either Parramatta or Warragamba based
Our client is a NSW Government entity and are seeking suitable Aboriginal candidates for a Community Education Coordinator role.
Position Purpose -
Develop, deliver and evaluate Community Education programs and interpretive resources to provide high quality education opportunities for regional and catchment communities that build the exposure and reach of the client and put safety first.
Knowledge:
• Excellent understanding of best practice Community Education and interpretation principles and behaviour change theory
• Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate complex technical issues in a clear and effective way, for a diverse range of audiences and accessibility requirements
• Developed learning resources, adult education, children education
• Working on education programs in the community
Experience:
• Experience in leading the development, delivery and evaluation of multi-faceted best practice Community Education programs
• Experience in developing interpretive resources including signage, installations, displays, exhibitions or face to face experiences in an educative environment
• Experience in effectively liaising and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders and an ability to influence
• Experience in applying high level interpersonal, communication, negotiation, presentation, facilitation and conflict resolution skills
• Experience in managing projects and contract service providers within time and budgetary constraints
Qualifications:
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in education, environmental science/ management, social sciences or related field or equivalent experience
