About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our dedicated management team. The Community Engagement Manager will operate from Hildasid Farm in Wagga Wagga, and you’ll be responsible for leading the development, planning and implementation of all fundraising activities, community events and engagement programs at Kurrajong.
This is a strategic, highly visible, and hands on role and is perfect for an experienced communicator with previous fundraising and Community Engagement experience. Our ideal candidate is a purpose driven professional wanting to make a tangible difference to help children and adults with disability.
Reporting directly to the General Manager – Commercial Enterprises & General Manager – Corporate Services, key responsibilities will include:
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with donors, sponsors and supporters of Kurrajong.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute Kurrajong’s Community Engagement Strategy.
- Manage the day to day operations and development of Hildasid Farm encompassing community involvement, the volunteer lifecycle and commercial product opportunities such as Waterups.
- Promote and market Kurrajong to the community and play a lead role in planning and implementing projects designed to improve and expand our operations.
- Develop, monitor and oversee operational and capital budgets and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks and maintain financial sustainability.
Required skills
- Demonstrated Community Engagement skills and experience managing a range of stakeholders i.e. volunteers, supports and donors
- Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to problem solve
- Strategic thinker allowing you to plan, implement and review strategy and initiatives
- Effective communicator with experience building relationships and delivering engagement and fundraising activities in the NFP or private sector
- Working knowledge of the MS Office suite and ability to leverage technology (Salesforce)
