An exciting opportunity exists for an energetic and proactive Community Engagement Manager to join Snowy Hydro and play a crucial role in building and maintaining meaningful relationships in the communities where we operate.
Reporting to the Manager Communications, Marketing and Engagement, in this role, you will engage with internal and external stakeholders, support community giving initiatives and develop and implement innovative strategies to promote active participation by community members.
This permanent full-time position is based in Cooma, NSW, with occasional travel to our regional sites.
Key responsibilities
Lead and facilitate community participation and engagement initiatives
Build and foster strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
Coordinate event-based engagement, including community outreach and larger community events
Prioritise and triage key community concerns in a dynamic stakeholder environment
Support delivery of Snowy Hydro's community-giving programs
Develop and implement systems to track and evaluate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments
Coordinate employee participation in Community Engagement activities and community volunteer programs
Work with Snowy Hydro's partners to maximise mutually beneficial outcomes
Your experience and capability
Bachelor's degree in either public relations, communications or Community Engagement, or relevant experience
A minimum of five years experience in leading a Community Engagement function
Demonstrated stakeholder engagement capability and relationship management
Effective oral and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills
Experience with reporting and evaluating Community Engagement effectiveness
Desirable but not essential
IAP2 accreditation is highly desirable
Experience working within the energy, utilities or construction industry is desirable
