We are seeking a professional Engagement Officer to join our Civic and Executive Services where you will provide advice and assistance to the Mayor and Council including coordinating Mayoral forums throughout Liverpool’s LGA.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role will lead the development of Community Engagement strategies to encourage collaborative opportunities through greater community and business participation in Council’s decision-making processes. As part of this strategy the Engagement Officer will lead, manage, and design key projects to drive higher engagement from the community and key stakeholders.
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will have:
- Current Class C NSW Driver's Licence
- Tertiary qualifications (University Degree) in Communications, Social Science, Social Work, Public Relations, Community Development, public administration or equivalent
- Experience in Community Engagement and/or strategic communications
- Demonstrated experience managing complex and politically sensitive projects and mitigating risk.
- Proficient in preparation of high-quality written material and presenting to a broad range of audiences – including community, key stakeholders, Council and senior staff.
