CDC Northern Territory has a new and exciting position for someone passionate about increasing engagement within the community, with a major focus on relationship building in schools and with students to bring about a greater understanding of appropriate bus behaviours as well as being able to address school service needs.
Reporting to and supporting the Community Engagement Manager, you will work with schools and Public Transport to have better outcomes with student behaviour through initiatives with students, parents/carers, schools and bus operators. You will also work with a variety of community organisations support youth and youth programs by educating them on appropriate bus behaviour.
During the dry you will also be involved in event planning and coordinating and providing representation of the CDC NT brand, including various community event such as NAIDOC week, Harmony Day, etc.
Your excellent communication skills and engaging presentation style will see you excel in this position. There are many perks to this position, such as participating in community events and creating initiatives that positively engage with school and local communities. You could also get the opportunity to travel to outer Darwin areas (including Alice Springs and Tennant Creek) as part of our brand awareness within the school transport network.
As part of the role, you should hold a current working with children clearance or the ability to obtain one. If you hold an MR licence with a H Endorsement (or the ability to obtain these), this could give a bit more flexibility within this role.
