- Join a vibrant local council dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for seniors, people with disabilities, and their carers.Role: Collaborate with our Community Development Officer for Seniors, Disability, and Social Inclusion. Duration: 3-month temporary role with potential for extension or additional hours, two days a week, $45/hour + Super.
- Program Coordination: Work alongside stakeholders to research and develop engaging activities for seniors, people with disabilities, and carers.
- Event Organisation: Plan and organise events suitable for older adults and the wider community.
- Communication: Prepare and distribute the monthly seniors newsletter and other promotional materials.
- Facility Oversight: Ensure the smooth functioning of our Living and Learning Centre, reporting maintenance and equipment issues.
- Support Existing Groups: Assist local groups in their activities and development.
- Team Participation: Attend staff meetings and contribute to our collaborative environment.
- Passion :A genuine desire to make a positive impact on the community.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including community members, Council Officers, and professionals.
- Organisational Skills: Keep our programs running smoothly and efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptability: Willingness to help out with various tasks, from admin work to event setup.
- Must have or be willing to receive a WWCC
- Flexible Schedule: Work 2 days a week
- Preferred Days: Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- Meaningful Work: Contribute to projects for seniors, people with disabilities, and social inclusion.
