About the role:
As the Compliance Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the organisation complies with all relevant legislation. Additionally, your duties involve overseeing the effectiveness of the Fund's compliance framework and working towards its continual enhancement and reinforcement.
Duties:

• Review all disclosures for compliance issues, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations
• Develop, maintain and enhance a comprehensive enterprise-wide compliance management information system
• Establish and enforce robust internal controls, monitoring adherence to them consistently
• Draft and revise company policies to align with current legal requirements and industry best practices
• Regularly report to the Board and Audit, Compliance, and Risk Management Committee on the Fund's compliance status and updates on legislative changes
• Proactively conduct audits of processes, practices, and documents to identify and address weaknesses
• Evaluate business activities to assess and mitigate compliance risks effectively
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure a thorough compliance assessment
• Develop crisis management plans and strategies to address compliance violations promptly
• Educate and train employees on relevant regulations and industry practices to enhance awareness
• Address colleagues' concerns or questions regarding legal compliance and provide guidance on technical matters
• Stay informed about industry standards and align business goals with compliance requirements
• Liaise with regulators, including the lodgement of in-use notices, to maintain transparent communication and compliance

Skills and Experience:

• Possession of RG146 or a strong commitment to obtain this qualification during the probationary period is imperative
• Possessing a Superannuation Diploma, Business or Law Degree, or actively working towards obtaining any of these qualifications would be greatly appreciated
• Demonstrated experience in meticulously reviewing disclosures in financial services to identify and address compliance issues
• Knowledge of legal requirements and controls, such as disclosure and breach reporting
• Familiarity with industry practices and adherence to professional standards
• Exceptional communication skills
• Demonstrated integrity and adherence to professional ethics
• Business acumen with a keen understanding of the industry
• Strong teamwork skills and a high level of attention to detail
