Your new role
You will play an integral part of the Compliance Program Branch for an initial period of 12 months. This branch aim is to promote good compliance practice, and early intervention where non-compliance is identified, with the overall goal to reduce potential fraud to the Department. This role will require you to make independent decisions relating to an assigned area of responsibility.
Your duties will include:
- Undertaking compliance activities in accordance with the relevant legislation, Departmental guidelines and documented process.
- Ensuring escalations and critical incidents are managed in accordance with the framework.
- Maintaining accurate records of decisions using Excel and CRM based system products.
- Analysing participant and provider data to assess payments made against participant plans.
- Completing highly complex assessments to ensure payments are accurately delivered to customers.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and will have:
- Previous experience within a compliance based role, with demonstrated examples of undertaking compliance tasks relevant to the position
- An understanding of legislation, procedures and the way in which guidelines are interpreted and applied
Sound compliance, analytical and research skills, including ability to rapidly acquire working knowledge of relevant legislative and policy framework.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
