About the RoleWe seek a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Construction Scheduler. This role is integral to coordinating and organising construction projects, ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders and efficient scheduling of tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to support operational requirements and facilitate positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with different departments to meet operational requirements effectively.
- Input work orders into construction schedules and time management systems.
- Produce comprehensive job schedules for construction staff.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and liaise with the admin department for purchase orders.
- Ensure all necessary plans and paperwork are complete and accessible for installers.
- Provide logistical support to team members and departments to enable efficient workflow.
- Handle daily onsite issues and manage personnel leave and absences.
- Liaise with salespersons regarding onsite variations and discrepancies in plans.
- Update company software with job status changes and relevant notes.
- Provide feedback on vehicles, equipment, and installation processes for continuous improvement.
- Assist with technical service queries and troubleshooting as needed.
- Contribute to maximising department profitability through efficient resource scheduling.
- Maintain acceptable lead times for clients and identify training needs for team members.
Experience and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Construction industry White Card.
- Security license (preferred).
- Police clearance.
- Manual driver's license.
- Experience in construction, telecommunications, or residential building industries.
- Strong knowledge of smart wiring, security, multi-room audio, CCTV and intercom systems.
- Strong knowledge AS/CA S009:2020.
- Strong knowledge of Concrete & Masonry Cutting & Drilling Code of Practice 2019.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Exonet.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Superior customer service skills and effective communication.
