This is a Sessional appointment for up to 5 years (negotiated with the manager), with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. We currently have multiple positions available to fill a vacancy totalling 0.6FTE (Full Time Equivalent):
- Upper Limb sub-speciality at 6 sessions per fortnight (0.3FTE).
- Lower limb sub-speciality at 6 sessions per fortnight (0.3FTE).

About this role
This position is responsible for the provision of diagnostic and therapeutic care of Orthopaedic patients specifically in relation to the subspecialty area of Orthopaedic Surgery.
This role reports to the Head of Department, Orthopaedic Surgery.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
