The Opportunity
Transgrid is reinforcing the transmission network in southern NSW with HumeLink - a new 500 kV transmission line project that will improve the flow of electricity between new generation sources and major demand centres in NSW.
HumeLink will provide a crucial hub for the flow of electricity in the National Electricity Market (NEM). The project will enable high volume energy transfer around the NEM improving access to affordable electricity.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly driven, pro-active individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
In your new role, you will be responsible for:
- the provision of contract development and ongoing contract management services for the project to support the Contracts and Commercial Manager in meeting Transgrid's contractual obligations, contract reporting, and managing contractual risks.
- managing the operation of the contracting cycle including the compilation, consolidation, distribution and evaluation of contract documentation and coordinate legal review as necessary.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and/or extensive appropriate experience in a capital-intensive industry
- Extensive experience in contract administration
- Strong commercial background with experience in project procurement for capital intensive industries, involving international sourcing
- Relevant systems knowledge and solid personal computing skills
- Knowledge of relevant Government Purchasing Policy, Guidelines and Codes of Practice
- High level oral and written communication skills to advise managers on tendering requirements and liaising with suppliers and commodity sourcing teams to ensure procurement requirements are delivered in an effective and timely manner
- Good business sense, trustworthiness, dedication, creativity, professionalism and a strong work ethic
- Excellent analytical skills and strong command of analytical methodologies coupled with an understanding of market research
