A government department in Fremantle are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join the team towards the end of June. This position is initially being offered on a 6-month temporary contract, with the possibility of extension or direct appointment offered should all go well. You will be required to work full-time hours and will be paid at a competitive hourly rate.
Your new role
As the Contract Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the negotiation, execution and review of contracts within ICT and general goods and services
- Procurement planning, tender documentation and evaluation
- Monitoring contract performance to identify issues
- Managing supplier relationships, providing contract advice as required and managing general disputes
- Prepare and control contract negotiations, renewals and extensions
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered, you will demonstrate:
- Previous contract management experience within the WA Government sector
- Previous experience managing ICT contracts would be beneficial, however not essential
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Advanced written communication skills with capability in drafting complex contracts
