Vantage Building Group QLD are currently looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Administrator to work within the Commercial Construction Division of the Company. Projects ranging from $15-50 million dollar range on the Sunshine Coast
The Role
Based on the Sunshine Coast (Maroochydore head office), the successful applicant will form part of a highly successful team, working in a fast paced environment. In return for your commitment and performance, we will provide excellent opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Managing the projects procurement
- Compile detailed scopes of work
- Sourcing new trades and supplies as required
- Completing detailed quantity take-offs and produce purchase orders for suppliers and subcontracts for subcontractors
- Preparation and submission of variation orders & contractual notices;
- Preparing head contract progress claims & reports;
- Project cost reporting & forecasting;
- Preparing head contract deliverables;
- Liaising with supervisors, suppliers, trades people, agents and contractors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
- Delivery of the projects KPI's
- 9 Day fortnight an option for the right candidate
- Contribution towards relocation costs from interstate for the right candidate
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 5 years experience within the Australian construction industry as a Contracts Administrator
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Technical knowledge of the building process
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication skills, written & verbal
- Tertiary Qualification
