Contracts Administrator

Vantage Building Group QLD are currently looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Administrator to work within the Commercial Construction Division of the Company.  Projects ranging from $15-50 million dollar range on the Sunshine Coast

The Role

Based on the Sunshine Coast  (Maroochydore head office), the successful applicant will form part of a highly successful team, working in a fast paced environment. In return for your commitment and performance, we will provide excellent opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Managing the projects procurement 
• Compile detailed scopes of work
• Sourcing new trades and supplies as required 
• Completing detailed quantity take-offs and produce purchase orders for suppliers and subcontracts for subcontractors
• Preparation and submission of variation orders & contractual notices;
• Preparing head contract progress claims & reports;
• Project cost reporting & forecasting;
• Preparing head contract deliverables;
• Liaising with supervisors, suppliers, trades people, agents and contractors
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
• Delivery of the projects KPI's
• 9 Day fortnight an option for the right candidate 
• Contribution towards relocation costs from interstate for the right candidate 

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 5 years experience within the Australian construction industry as a Contracts Administrator
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Technical knowledge of the building process
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication skills, written & verbal
• Tertiary Qualification
