The Opportunity:
As a Contracts Administrator you will be a key player in ensuring the efficient and effective management of contracts throughout their lifecycle. Working closely with the General Counsel and internal stakeholders, you will contribute to the negotiation, review and amendment of contracts, and provide support to various departments to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This role involves collaboration, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts from initiation to completion.
• Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
Negotiation and Review:
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate contract terms.
• Review and amend contracts as necessary, addressing discrepancies or concerns.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Work closely with Discipline Leaders and other departments to align contract activities with organisational objectives.
Process Improvement:
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within the contract management lifecycle.
Contract Training:
• Prepare and deliver contract training sessions as needed to ensure team members understand and follow best practices.
Query Response:
• Address and respond to queries related to contracts, ensuring clear communication and understanding of contractual obligations.
Tender Support:
• Assist in the preparation of tender responses by providing expertise in contract-related matters.
Contracts Register Maintenance:
• Update and maintain an accurate contracts register for tracking and reference purposes.
Contract Playbooks:
• Regularly update contract playbooks with the latest industry standards and company practices.
Qualifications/Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field. (desired but not mandatory)
• Proven experience as a Contract Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
