Based in our South Guildford office, the Contracts Manager - Procurement will lead and enhance the Contracts team, as well as oversee the development of category plans and execution of procurement strategies to ensure optimal outcomes for the business in both Western Australia and New South Wales.
This critical role will ensure efficient sourcing of goods and services which are imperative to our operations as well as successfully leading procurement processes, implementing cost-saving initiatives, and managing supplier relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing industry knowledge to review and enhance Procurement contract practices for maximum value to WesTrac.
- Leading the development and implementation of strategic procurement plans aligned with company goals.
- Executing efficient measures to optimise costs without compromising on quality standards.
- Examining market trends to pinpoint chances for reducing costs and enhancing processes.
- Recognizing and evaluating potential risks linked to procurement operations. Creating and executing strategies to mitigate these risks and uphold a robust supply chain.
- Execute procurement category plans aligning with internal customer requirements and agreed timelines.
- Deliver source-to-contract events within agreed timelines and targets.
- Provide leadership and management, including performance appraisals, goal setting, and personal development for the team.
- Building solid partnerships with internal stakeholders across WA and NSW in order to determine needs and aligning procurement strategies to their objectives.

To be successful in the role you will have:
- Extensive experience at a senior level in contract management formulation and developing and implementing high level strategies.
- A strong background in procurement and contracts management and the ability to mentor and manage the team.
- Proven people management experience in leading teams with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Proven experience in contracts administration, procurement, compliance, and quality environments
- High attention to detail, ability to analyse problems and provide appropriate solutions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders and to work across boundaries.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive matters appropriately.
- Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously.
- Previous exposure to SAP/Ariba or a similar ERP system.
