The Opportunities
Contracts Officer – Level 4
The Contracts Officer is responsible for:
- Assisting with the preparation of the annual funding budget to ensure financial control.
- Undertaking planning and coordinating endorsement of contracts and provides advice on funding matters.
- Monitoring and quality assuring the allocation of resources, financial and contract compliance performance on contracts.
- Ensuring that funded services and contracts are managed in accordance with Departmental policy.
- Maintaining information management systems and the accuracy and integrity of contract and service provider information.
The Contract Manager is responsible for:
- Actively managing the relationship with the Department’s funded non-government services.
- Coordinating the planning and development of departmentally funded non-government services.
- Ensuring that funded services are managed in accordance with departmental policy including value for money, working towards quality practice, achieving standards and continuous improvement.
- Reviewing and evaluating funded non-government services.
- Providing advice and consultancy regarding non-government funding processes to key stakeholders.
The Referral Officer is responsible for:
- Working collaboratively with Departmental staff to meet the placement and care needs of children in the care of the Director General who are unable to be placed within District resources or general Departmental or relative Foster Carers, and
- Undertaking referrals and ensuring appropriate information is provided to non-Government Agencies and the Department’s Residential Care Units.
A core part of this care is to support children to develop and maintain long lasting relationships with their biological family, carer family and other safe and nurturing people. The desired outcome is for these children to be adults who are able to reach their full potential and contribute to the Western Australian community.
