This role is based in newly created Coordination, Advice & Support Team within our Conduct and Integrity Office who handle serious complaints, misconduct, investigation issues, as well as providing education and prevention strategies to foster respect and integrity across UNSW.
Why your Role Matters
UNSW is seeking a Coordination, Advice & Support (CAS) Officer to join the team offering a centralised function for our complaints handling process and upholding old a culture of ethical behaviour and conduct compliance across all areas of the university.
As CAS Officer you will support the team in assessing, coordinating and referring complaints to the appropriate management pathway as well as monitoring their timely resolution. As a subject matter expert on complaint management process at the University, you will be providing advice and information to all stakeholders involved in the complaint management and resolution process for both direct enquires and those being handled locally.
Working closely with the CAS Manager, you will be working to support effectual compliant and investigation resolutions across the University.
Accountabilities:
- Provide high level administrative support to the Project Team, including co-ordinating meetings, interviews and taking minutes from fact-finding interviews.
- Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Respond to a range of in-person, telephone and email enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide effective specialist advice relating to administrative guidelines, processes and activities.
- Develop and maintain filing systems, spreadsheets, databases, websites and other administrative systems.
- Participate in relevant projects and business improvement activities.
You will hold a relevant qualification, or equivalent level of knowledge, and experience alongside:
- Advanced time management, organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
- Well-developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels.
- Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to make sound judgements and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated experience supporting and contributing to projects and initiatives.
- Advanced numeracy skills.
