About the opportunity
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to thrive in this unique role. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Surveyor, to coordinate the building certification, inspection and development assessment functions of one of our 3 building teams.
The City is a dynamic local government area that is presently undergoing major growth. We pride ourselves on quality customer service, managing relationships, attention to detail and practical application of development and building legislation.
We are looking for a like-minded person to coordinate, lead, mentor, and refine our business as well as explore new opportunities
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Building Surveyor
- Council Accredited Certifier - Accredited Certifier- Building Surveyor, issued by the Building Professionals Board
- Current class C driver's licence.
Desirable:
- Accreditation as a Council accredited certifier of A1- Accredited Certifier- Building Surveyor Grade 1 (unconditional).
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $2,092.25 per week
- 35-hour working week
