The role
The Coordinator Building Program is a key contributor to the Assets,
Capital Works and Property Services department, providing technical advice to
the Manager, Assets, Capital Works and Property Services and wider Council. We
are seeking a dynamic professional with a can-do attitude who can bring their
skills and experience to:
? Lead and build capability in the area of planning, investigating, delivering
the Building Program, including major projects.
? Coordinate significant capital Building Programs, ensuring projects are
delivered to scope, on time and on budget, using Council's approved project
management methodology.
? Undertake regular reporting on project status, utilising Council's corporate
systems.
? Coordinate the Building Program and guide and support the Building Program
team to ensure the program reflects the priorities and needs of the community
as articulated in adopted strategies and plans, liaising with internal
stakeholders to ensure projects are scoped and delivered according to their
needs.
? Liaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure building projects
are designed and delivered with consideration of corporate objectives and
mindful of their relationship to the surrounding precinct.
? Ensure the development of the Building Program and the delivery of projects,
as part of Council's Capital Works Program.This senior role forms part of a high performing Brimbank
Leadership Team, living the values and modelling our culture.
To be considered you will have:
? Ability to work in accordance with our values and behaviours.
? Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and motivate a team of professionals.
? Qualifications in project management or related discipline and/or extensive
proven project management experience.
? Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to gain cooperation of
internal and external stakeholders.
? Proven financial management literacy with the ability to deliver projects on
time and on budget.
