Working within Manufacturing Skills Queensland (MSQ) as a valued member of the team, you will be responsible for driving the performance of the day-to-day operations of the company including finance, procurement and contracts, information systems, facilities, people and culture, risk, audit, and governance.

You will professionally and personally exemplify integrity, excellence, and accountability; and champion the MSQ values. The key duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead a small team to deliver on a range of programs of work relating to the day-to-day operations of the organisation.
- As a member of the internal Executive Leadership Team (ELT), contribute to the development and effective delivery of the organisation's program of work and undertake the secretariat role for the ELT.
- Prepare annual budgets and cash flow forecasts for individual projects and the overall organisation, and prepare monthly management and annual statutory financial reports in accordance with requirements.
- Manage engagement with, and provision of information to, external auditors.
- Oversee the efficient and effective operation of all financial management systems and ensure compliance to the Financial Accountability Act 2009 (Queensland).
- With the CEO and Board, manage MSQ’s risk management and compliance program, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, legislative, and procedural obligations, including WHS obligations.
- Oversee the efficient and effective operation of all IT systems, including monitoring the organisation's Cyber Security processes.
- Manage the organisation’s HR practices and payroll system.
- Work closely with ELT to drive MSQ’s culture including team building, professional development, and application of corporate policies and practices.
- Support the effective management of the Office of the CEO.

For this role, we will consider how well you demonstrate the capabilities critical to the performance of a Corporate Services Manager, focussing on:
- Strong knowledge in financial and business operational management.
- Substantial knowledge and practical experience in the planning, coordination, and delivery of Corporate Services within a start-up organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in driving a positive culture that values respect and accountability.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to proactively multitask, prioritise and deliver on time and on budget.
- Attention to detail coupled with excellent risk management and problem-solving skills to deliver innovative, strategic Corporate Services functions.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to prepare briefings and governance documents, deliver presentations, undertake effective consultations, network, and assist in engaging with key organisational stakeholders.
- Degree qualified, with demonstrated management experience in Corporate Services, business administration, HR or finance; and/or CA/CPA Membership.
- Experience with government processes/legislation, and working directly with a CEO and Board would be highly regarded.
