1.0 FTE SCHADS 8 ($120,331.12 – 125,066.24) + super + salary packaging + additional paid Christmas leave.

About the role

This is a full-time permanent senior management position within a purpose-driven team and reporting directly to the CEO. The primary purpose of this multi-faceted position is to provide strategic direction and business planning while overseeing the day-to-day business operations related to budgeting and finance, ICT, asset management, taxation, payroll and human resources. This position is also responsible for reviewing business systems and processes for efficiencies and working collaboratively with the leadership team to ensure resources and funding are utilised effectively to further Advocare’s objectives.

For further context, we are looking for someone experienced in leading and managing a diverse team. We need someone who can balance management and leadership priorities to ensure their team is accountable to achieving their targets and feel highly supported. You will be a person comfortable in a dynamic, team-based environment. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following experience and capability:

Work Related Requirements 

Essential: 

  1. Proven strategic leadership and management skills, with a focus on fostering an inclusive and supportive environment whilst monitoring, driving performance and providing direction.
  2. Significant experience in financial management, including conducting annual audit and tax programs, reconciliation of accounting systems sales/payments, accounts receivable, and overseeing of all payroll (PAYG, BAS, SUPER).
  3. Demonstrated experience managing diverse teams and ensuring smooth administrative support functions such as Finance, HR, IT, Office management.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage organisational assets.
  5. High-level financial acumen working within budgetary requirements and managing monthly and end of year financial reporting.
  6. Ability to work flexibly and demonstrate a willingness to respond to changing work requirements and peak periods.
  7. Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret and comprehend financial and non-financial data.
  8. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to be able to advocate, facilitate, negotiate, influence, mediate and develop effective workplace relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  9. Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as accounting, finance, MBA or similar along with substantial post graduate experience. 

Desirable:

  • CPA or CA qualification
  • Experience working in a non profit organisation
