What you will be doing: In the role of Correspondence Officer, the successful applicants will be individuals with a sharp attention to detail and impeccable time management skills. These skills will be utilised to ensure the Ministerial and Executive correspondence is progressed in a timely manner. This will also extend to the use of department's document management systems to monitor and progress correspondence and briefing notes, monitor and oversee the ECT and department mailboxes. The Correspondence officer will be tasked with actioning minor edits and performing quality assurance checks of documents alongside drafting and processing of approved general template responses. These skills will be further reinforced by generating basic system generated reports to identify areas and items that require urgent attention.
In the role of Correspondence Officer, the successful individuals will utilise their communication and training skills to assist with training and coaching of administration officers and nurture skills in attention to detail to ensure performance and quality standards are met for a variety of tasks such as registrations of items, processes and workflows. The role will also assist with liaising effectively with internal and external individuals and agencies.
