UGL now have a vacancy for a Cost Controller. Based on various sites in Queensland and reporting to the Project Manager. This role is responsible for providing timely cost expertise by monitoring, analysing and reporting on project progress and costs. This position will support our Operations team in the Services division, with the focus on power station shutdowns.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Provide strong focus on cost trending and forecasting
- Establish and monitor project baseline budgets
- Produce regular cost reports and at time present to the client outage leadership team
- Maintain risk registers to include change impacts
- Monitor and report on cost actuals vs budget,
- Liaison with financial team for compiling and submitting client progress claims
- Strictly adhere to both UGL and client’s safety and environmental systems and standards
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, engineering, finance or similar preferred
- Minimum 5 years practical experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience with cost management tools (excel, SAP, Power Bi, sharepoint)
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong conflict resolution skills coupled with the ability to work independently, prioritise demands, and learn quickly
- Proficient skills across the MS Suite and other programs for cost reporting
