About the PositionWehave an exciting opportunity for a person tofill the role of Council Support Officer within the Corporate ServicesDirectorate.
Thisposition is responsible for providing effective and efficient administrativesupport to the Shire President and Councillors. Duties include coordination of elected member enquiries, entitlements,professional development and meeting and event attendance. This role is alsoresponsible for citizenship ceremonies and assists with Council meetingprocesses, including minute taking. Please see the Job Application Package forfurther details.
Ourideal candidate will be highly motivated, have an attention to detail and a'can do' attitude. They must be able towork in a team, be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Previous experience in local governmentand/or administration will be highly regarded as will strong skills inMicrosoft Office suite.
Travelto other Shire towns is a requirement of this role, including overnight stays.This role is available as a full-time opportunity with a minimum of 80 hoursper fortnight.
Thisposition offers a competitive remuneration package and six weeks' annual leave.All terms and conditions are as per the Shire of Ashburton Enterprise Agreement2022.
