- Credit Management: Implementing and maintaining effective credit control procedures to minimise outstanding debts and maximise cash flow.
- Client Liaison: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to facilitate prompt payment and resolve any billing queries or disputes efficiently.
- Financial Analysis: Conducting thorough analysis of financial data to assess credit risk and devise strategies for mitigating potential financial losses.
- Reporting: Generating accurate and timely financial reports to provide insights into credit control performance and inform strategic decision-making.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies related to credit management and debt collection.
- Proven experience in debtor management within the legal or broader professional services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices, with the ability to analyse financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
- Ideally familiar with software specific to the legal industry such as Affinity, Aderant, Leap or Elite etc.
