Credit Officer

At Tyremax we take pride in being a leading wholesaler of quality tyres, distributing renowned brands throughout Australia and New Zealand. Currently, we are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Credit Officer to join our dynamic Sales and Operations team at our Office and Distribution Centre located in Perth.

Although our Creditor team is primarily stationed in Victoria, this position has been specifically designed to provide additional support to our valued customers in Western Australia. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Creditor team remotely, with a shared focus on ensuring efficient and timely collections from our customers.

Primary responsibilities of the role:

• Communication with customers regarding payments of their accounts
• Debtor payment processing 
• Reconciliation of accounts and payments
• Liaising with internal sales staff as required
• Implementation of the company Credit Policy
• Assist with general accounting functions as required
• Work collaboratively within the broader Finance team
   

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• A minimum of 3 years experience in a credit or accounts receivable roll
• Friendly attitude and ability to work in a team environment
• Self-motivation with the willingness to learn
• A positive customer focused outlook
• Efficiency in use of ERP business systems and Microsoft Office
• Possess a solid understanding of collection procedures
• Understanding of accounting data entry procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to focus on risk management and compliance within the company policy
