At Qantas, we represent Australia to the world. Our diverse country is known for our spirit, mateship, and a can-do attitude.
Our collaborative culture allows us to dream big and deliver successfully, knowing we’re supported by the best people. Together we drive positive business outcomes, taking a considered approach that makes a difference to our customer experience.
Your new role as a Crew Experience Manager to join our Qantas International business will see you focused on leading and managing the end-to-end employment relationship for a team of approximately 150 Flight Attendants and Business & First Flight Attendants.
You will play an integral role in ensuring a continual focus on safety, service and productivity, whilst cultivating a high-performance culture amongst a large, diverse and industrialised workforce. Through effective people management and collaborating with partner areas to act on trends affecting Cabin Crew service delivery/productivity, you will contribute greatly to business plan objectives.
To support our crew during peak periods of our 24/7 operation, you will be required on a 5 week, 7 day rotating roster to ensure visibility of leadership during peak times when our crew are in base and provide support whilst up-line.
What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Knowledge of the industrial context and influencing outcomes with unions
  • Proven ability in developing individuals and building effective, high performing teams
  • Proven communication, facilitation, presentation and diplomacy skills
  • Experience in working within industrialised workplace environments with case management and investigation experience
  • Developed business acumen and personal commitment to service excellence
  • Ability to manage ‘business as usual’ activity while also leading various business projects
  • Sound judgement, proactive thinking and fit for purpose solutions to meet an ever-changing customer and employee landscape
  • Proven ability to motivate, lead and influence others
Our experience lives with our people. We leverage this wisdom through mentoring, providing valuable learning and support for our leaders of tomorrow.
Why Qantas?

There are many different opportunities across our team, which means you’ll be able to grow both personally and professionally at Qantas. Your development is a priority for us – so that you can maintain the high standards our customers have come to expect and can continue to develop over time. You’ll be supported from day 1 with on the job training and coaching as well as our formal training opportunities. While you may start in this role, we’ve got a great track record of supporting our people to take their career in so many different directions, the destinations are endless.
