We are looking for a best-in-class Customer Insights Advisor to join our Advocacy & Oversight team. You will assist in all stages of the data analytics lifecycle in support of management reporting and insights across complaints to proactively identify areas of opportunity to drive improvements for our customers.

What you'll do

  • Help maintain and further develop a database of Suncorp's complaints resolution data along with associated information.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, both internal and external, to understand reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain management reports, incorporating a variety of internal and external data sources.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand current customer issues and to propose data-based solutions.
  • Undertake deep dive analysis into complaints data to better understand drivers of complaints and to propose actionable insights.
  • Present the results of reporting and analysis, together with business-related interpretation, in a form which supports strategic decision making.
  • Assist in the development of advanced analytical products.
  • Document the work undertaken in accordance with good process and data governance.

What you'll bring

  • Tertiary qualification in a quantitative field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years' experience in a data analytics related role
  • Demonstrable experience with SQL and Python (or another analytics language such as R, SAS or SPSS)
  • Handling and manipulating data from various sources (database, Excel, text)
  • Analysing customer data to derive insights and recommendations
  • Experience with data visualisation
  • Advanced use of Excel and experience with PowerPoint
  • Superior organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
