Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Entering and processing of customer orders via phone and email, preparing and communicating Amendments and Order confirmations, including lead times and expected delivery times updates,
Receipting and logging of physical inwards and outwards components and parts, along with despatch and freighting functions.
Actively managing commitments to prioritise and to align workload to meet expected outcomes on customer expectations.
Capable of being able to identify critical paths in order deliveries, whether goods may be despatched in part or as a consolidated shipment and working with the logistics and freight forwarders for effective on time delivery or with contingencies and next best alternative scenarios.
Ability to interpret charts and manuals for product details
Managing returned items and periodic Stock/Inventory reconciliations
Skills and Abilities
Computer and ERP familiarity to allow for effective navigation through Ordering processes, Customer Data, Debtor Functions
Word processing capabilities that allow for document preparation such as quotes and reports
Spread-sheeting skills providing for data construction, formula manipulation, analysis along with Charting and Table construction.
Email management and handling, including replies and responses along with the ability to incorporate tables and graphics
Willingness and capacity to work in a team environment, although a nature of the tasks is that they be undertaken on a individual job role basis
Ability to communicate verbally both internally and externally with suppliers, transport companies, business associates and customers in a professional manner.
Maintain a work area, work outcomes and work presence in a professional manner.
Capable of managing a work stream that may have multiple demands on timing expectations.
Ability to physically handle incoming and outgoing freight, along with the co-ordination of freighting requirements
