There is currently one (1) position offered as a full time eleven (11) month contract/secondment opportunity with the possibility of extension/permanency and one (1) part time position offered as a four (4) month contract/secondment opportunity with the possibility of extension/permanency. This part time position is required to work 30 hours per fortnight (Mondays and Wednesdays).
POSITION OBJECTIVE
These positions contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the Fremantle Police Station by undertaking a broad range of Customer Service duties and providing administrative support.
They are located at Fremantle Police Station within the Fremantle CBD, South Metropolitan area. This is a team focussed role, overseeing the front counter, face-to-face and telephone enquiries and liaising with the Police Officers and Sergeants. It is a dynamic and varied role and the recommended applicant will be expected to work a variety of shifts including afternoon, evening and weekends.

The CV must also include the names and contact details of two (2) referees who can comment on the applicant's ability to satisfy all of the Essential Work Related Requirements. Applicants should nominate at least one immediate (most contemporary) supervisor/manager unless exceptional circumstances exist.

OTHER CONDITIONS
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancies, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies throughout the metropolitan area. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the panel may select another suitable applicant from this selection process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the initial date of the appointment.
Integrity and criminal checks will be conducted if the recommended applicant for a position is not a current WA Police Force employee. Any relocation costs associated with appointment to these positions may be the responsibility of the successful applicants.
