About the business and the role
Biota St News & Inala Heights Post Office provides Lott and Scratch services, newspaper, magazine to the local community.
We are also an Australia Post outlet which provides postal, parcel and banking services. Both parts of the business are very important and provide a valuable service to the local community. Our work environment operates at a fast pace. Individuals who consider themselves hardworking, committed, and self-motivated are warmly welcomed.
Excellent support is always readily available from the owner and whole team. The working environment is fun and challenging.
5 regular days a week is available. Weekend work Saturdays and Sundays also available. The applicant should be available to work 15-20 hours per week.
The flexibility to cover additional shifts is highly desired.
Vietnamese speaker is welcomed.
Junior applicant is welcomed. The junior applicant should be available to work between 14:00pm and 17:30pm.
Job tasks and responsibilities
The role will involve daily balancing, magazine and newspaper returns. The role will involve providing outstanding Customer service across the post office and news agency counters, with staff encouraged to get to know regular customers and grow the business with friendly and efficient service. The role will also involve the maintenance of stock and presentation of news agency and post-office.
Skills and experience
Training will be provided for all new skills and areas of knowledge, mainly on the job will also be available if desired.
Previous retail experience is highly desirable.
