One of our long standing Federal Government Clients are seeking experienced Database Administrators with Experience in Azure Cloud Environments. The client prides themselves on their flexibility and as such are looking for talented candidates in most Capital cities over the East Coast of Australia.
Overview on the Role
You will join a great team of operators as you utilise your DBA and Cloud experience as you take responsibility for a crucial piece of upgrade and migration project work for the client.
You will be required to:
- Conduct database administration tasks on existing and emerging transactional and business intelligence data assets.
- Conduct Cloud-service administration for services such as Power BI, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Catalog
- Develop, maintain and mature release management, system monitoring, and health checks.
- Develop, maintain, and review database-related infrastructure, processes, procedures, and documentation.
- Work as a part of an application delivery team on project-based objectives to drive delivery of outcomes; and
Essential Skills and Experiences
- SQL database administration, ETL, and coding language experience:
• Hands-on DBA experience using SQL including database design, development, delivery, validation, and ongoing maintenance.
• In-depth experience with Business Intelligence databases (data warehouses, data marts) including ETL processes.
• Demonstrated experience using tools such as SQL Server Integration Services and/or Azure Data Factory.
• Coding experience in programming scripting languages such as SQL, Python, R, C Sharp/C++, Powershell. - Business Intelligence support experience in SQL Server Reporting Services and/or supporting Cloud-based applications such as Power BI, Azure Data Catalog, Azure Databricks.
- Release and Change management experience
- Well-developed team collaboration and communication skills
- Experience with Agile frameworks, DevOps and/or DataOps.
