Job description

We're searching for a commercially astute Demand Planner who wants to be part of Australia's eCommerce future. Reporting to our Head of Demand Planning, you'll play an integral role in managing accurate forecasts and replenishment plans to ensure we have optimal stock coverage to support the needs of our customers.

We're looking for a team member with an eye for detail and curious mind. You'll have the opportunity to provide feedback and shape Demand Planning process, all to ensure our customers have the best product and experience.

Whether you’ve been working in a Junior Demand Planning / Inventory Control / Allocation Analyst position and are looking to take on a new challenge, or have a few years experience as a Demand Planner and are looking to diversify your experience and work with a pure-play online retailer, this role could be the perfect fit!

Apply today and kick start your eCommerce career with an industry leading business and team!

In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • Achieving forecast accuracy across all product lines by working closely with internal stakeholders on future demand
  • Actively managing and monitoring inventory levels to achieve company goals and KPIs, ensuring purchase orders are accurate and on time
  • Being proactive and proposing improvements to current processes, thinking critically, challenging yourself and others
  • Ensuring timely import of products and stock management, to ensure an exceptional customer experience
  • Understanding and minimising logistics and warehousing costs by effectively analysing inventory levels and purchase orders’ shipments sizes and frequency
  • Regular demand analysis and audit to avoid potential stock outs and aged stock, taking corrective action where necessary
  • Analysing performance of various product ranges and recommending actions to key stakeholders
  • Ensure we have a minimal number of sold-out products, monitoring them and timely updating of prices, presale dates and stock levels
  • Partnering with Category Managers to ensure stock levels are sufficient, considering potential demand changes based on sales and / or promotional campaigns

To be successful in this role, you should be:

  • University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Commerce, Business, Mathematics or similar)
  • Experienced within or have exposure to Demand Planning or Inventory / Stock Control, preferably within a Retail, eCommerce or FMCG environment
  • Experience with SAP and Demand Planning software will be well regarded
  • Highly analytical, logical and ready to delve into data - being able to evaluate offers and products quickly to determine if they’re of value to our customers is key
  • Able to develop strong and effective relationships, through excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • A multi-tasking ninja - we expect you to juggle 50 different tasks at once without dropping the ball (we’re not kidding)
  • A whiz with Microsoft Excel (we’re talking VLOOKUP and pivot tables, not SUM and AVERAGE - and we will test your capabilities)
  • Tech savvy and ability to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Ready to challenge, be challenged, and work within our highly disruptive business model.
