What you'll be doing:
An amazing role is now available within Nepean Hospital to lead the provision of high quality, safe and cost-effective Social Work and Aboriginal Liaison services, including human, financial, and physical resource management.
Within this role you will provide clinical, professional, and operational leadership of Social Work clinicians and Aboriginal Liaison Officers and participate and contribute as a member of the Allied Health Leadership team at Nepean Hospital.
Your contributions to development of teaching, research and clinical practice initiatives, advancements and assistance to maintain and develop the New Graduate Program;providing quality student placements; support staff to facilitate and participate in their own professional development and research opportunities will be you role within this position.
At all times within this role you will contribute to the development and implementation of relevant strategic and operational plans for the department, Nepean Hospital and NBMLHD and be responsible for service delivery within budget; meeting KPI targets; manage decisions consistent with NBMLHD Finance & Administrative Delegations Manual.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
Selection criteria to be addressed: * Recognised Degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the AASW

• Substantial postgraduate Social Work clinical practice and supervision skills to enable professional leadership for the delivery of high level, evidence based and complex clinical services, demonstrated ability in strategic clinical planning, and Quality Improvement activities
• Demonstrated high level operational management and leadership skills to ensure effective human resource management, including effective team building, and service planning, coordination, and evaluation
• Demonstrated ability in strategic and operational planning to ensure patient-centred, high quality and cost-effective clinical services
• Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal, non-verbal and written communication, consultation, and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to establish, develop and maintain relationships both within and external to the organisation
• Demonstrated time management skills and ability to manage human, financial, and physical resources effectively and efficiently to ensure budget and performance targets are met
• Broad knowledge of current health system related issues with demonstrated understanding of application and implications for Social Work services
• Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
