Job Description: This is an exciting opportunity to help lead the Occupational Therapy Department across Fiona Stanley Hospital, Fremantle Hospital, and the State Rehabilitation Service. The Deputy Head of Department does not hold a clinical caseload and works with the P3 Coordinators and the Head of Department to ensure all clinical areas are staffed and equipped to provide excellent Occupational Therapy services, every time. The Deputy Head of Department assists the Head of Department in the operational management of the department, including the management of human, financial and physical resources. The Deputy Head of Department supports, inspires and enables clinical research, quality improvement and service development across the department. Together with the Head of Department, the Deputy provides support with audits and mandatory reporting to ensure all safety and quality requirements are met by the department in the provision of clinical services. Along with the Occupational Therapy team, the Deputy Head of Department is part of a broader Allied Health team with active engagement and collaboration on initiatives to drive clinical excellence across the service.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
Fremantle Hospital is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.
