We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer with a proactive attitude to join our Engineering team at our Balcatta, Perth office. In this role, you will play a vital role in providing technical expertise.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing and engineering Audio Visual systems to ensure functionality and quality standards are met nationally. This may involve modifying existing designs to meet specific requirements.
As a Design Engineer, your duties will include:
- creating system schematics using AutoCAD
- developing cabling spreadsheets and room layouts, and proposing design solutions based on project specifications.
- being responsible for researching and implementing new technologies
- managing project documents and writing technical documentation such as operational manuals and commissioning procedures.
- be involved in designing customized mounting hardware and brackets for Audio Visual equipment
- providing technical support to the installation and project departments
- assisting the Sales department with product knowledge
Ideal Candidate profile:
- Extensive knowledge of video, audio and control systems
- Strong knowledge for Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Experience with AutoCAD; line diagrams and layouts
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering – Electronics, Telecommunications or similar is desirable
- ICT / Network Infrastructure background desirable
- Self-driven with good time management and prioritising skills
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Team player
- Current valid Driver’s License and Personal Vehicle
- Must hold an Australian Citizenship, to be able to access Secure Agency sites and material
