AddressAs a pivotal figure reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Design Manager will spearhead and oversee multidisciplinary engineering and design activities for projects and studies. Collaboration with project stakeholders will be key to ensure adherence to technical compliance, quality, cost, safety, sustainability, and environmental standards, while meeting project deadlines. This role will entail integrated design management spanning across Australia and internationally, fostering successful project execution and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate interdisciplinary technical aspects of project engineering, design, and drafting.
- Monitor and support the progress and performance of the project design team.
- Manage multidisciplinary engineering, design, and drafting resources.
- Provide engineering designs and solutions within agreed milestone dates.
- Optimise productivity and efficiency of study and project teams through planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and fostering collaborative teamwork.
Required Expertise:
- Tertiary education qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical or equivalent).
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in mineral processing or related industries, with preference for gold, base metals, or lithium experience.
- Preferably CPEng and RPEQ accredited.
- Excellent interpersonal and client interaction skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
- Intuitive leadership skills with a commitment to mentoring and succession planning within the team.
