About the role:
We are seeking a Design Manager to work in our internal Design Team. This role will focus on improving the appearance and functionality of existing Hungry Jacks Restaurants nationally. The Design Manager will scope, then make recommendations for an improved design that will meet current Hungry Jacks Brand and Design Standards. Recommendations for improvements made by the Design Manager will be commercial, focusing on achieving healthy returns on capital invested . The successful candidate will have a commercial understanding of the impact a design can make, to ensure there are healthy returns on capital invested.
Responsibilities
- Undertake refurbishment scoping for capital works that relate to the refurbishment of existing restaurants to meet brand standards;
- Providing briefs to external Consultants to complete concept documentation including hydraulic, structural engineers, etc;
- Review detailed documentation and obtaining sign off from necessary stakeholders;
- Submission of Development Approvals, Building Approvals and necessary approvals
- Assisting with the preparation of internal capital approval reports for board approval
- Be responsible for any request for information that will come through during the construction stage
- Assisting with Business As Usual request from State Operations team
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in the Architectural Field
- Demonstrated experience within Retail/Hospitality Design
- Design focused, with an appreciation of an FMCG/QSR business
- High degree of Commercial acumen
- Innovative mindset
- Able to operate CAD
- Attention to detail
- Able to work in a timely and organised manner with clear and concise communications to ensure that stakeholders are informed
