Duties and Skills:
C U Building Group is looking for an experienced Design Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in residential building companies and proficiency in Archicad software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating design solutions that adhere to compliance standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards in all design documentation.
- Maintaining rigorous quality control procedures to uphold the precision of drawings. Revise and modify drawings as necessary based on feedback from stakeholders or changes in project scope.
- Coordinate with other members of the design and construction teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during the drafting process.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings and project documentation, ensuring accessibility and version control.
- Serving as a liaison with councils, office personnel including CA, and supervisors throughout project phases.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Draftsman or in a similar role, preferably in the residential building sector.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the Australian context is desirable.
- Create stunning images of building facade using 3D software (Twinmotion).
- Able to identify issues at an early stage whether in administration, design, or construction aspect of the project.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- High attention to detail.
- Able to work within a team and autonomously.
- Archicad proficient is essential.
