ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent, DIDO rolefrom our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
As the Senior Draft Person, you will be responsible for supporting a team of internal Draft Persons and external service providers to accomplish the Design Services Team mandate.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
- Delivery of the design as per stakeholders' requirements for both Capital and Operational projects.
- Own and maintain Worsley's drawing management system (Autodesk Vault)
- Own and Maintain Worsley's Drafting standard specifications.
- Manage drafting team's workload and assist the Design Services Superintendent for future resource planning
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Several years working experience in an Engineering Drafting and Design Role in an operating asset or Consultancy.
- Extensive knowledge of Mechanical/Structural/Civil or Electrical Drafting, tools and software's
- Significant experience in delivering complete life cycle of design works within a brownfield environment within the resources or other heavy industry
- Experience in coaching and mentoring Drafting team.
- Sound understanding and proven experience in developing and managing drafting estimate and schedule
Qualifications for this position are:
- Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting or equivalent experience
